Geological & saline-brine survey analysis report completed for the Habulay basin
The cooperative has received a Geological & Saline-Brine Survey Analysis Report for the Habulay River Basin, prepared under the Salt Cooperative Development & Investment Initiative using remote sensing and stratigraphic correlation with the Korahe Basin. Key results: brine TDS above 250,000 mg/L; a near-marine Na⁺/Cl⁻ ratio; an evaporation rate of ≈7–9 mm/day; and 15–20 favourable evaporation-pond areas. Preliminary resource indications are available for qualified partners on request.
July 2026 · Development model
Pilot-first development model confirmed by the cooperative committee
The cooperative has adopted a staged pathway — pilot production, technical validation, commercial demonstration, processing and value addition, then industrial expansion. The intent: test before scaling, measure before forecasting, verify before committing major capital. The next step is establishing pilot solar evaporation ponds and 3–5 shallow exploratory boreholes, as recommended in the survey report.
